Announcing Five New Courses for 2018
January 15, 2018PCM’s wholly owned subsidiary MAT Kosovo EOD & ERW Training Establishment has been awarded three ISO certificates;
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management
- ISO 14001 – Environment Management
- OHSAS 18001 – Health & Safety Management
We at MAT Kosovo EOD & ERW Training Establishment strive to achieve excellence in the service we provide to our customers, our stakeholders, our employees and the environment.
To achieve these objectives, we embarked on a journey of self-assessment of our management principles and evolved our way of thinking to incorporate all the elements involved in the delivery of our product.
Firstly, we addressed our understanding of the Quality Management Principles of ISO 9001
Why is it important to our customers? We identified what our customers expected from a training establishment (Quality in teaching, accreditation, certification, responsibility and accountability) and we adjusted our approach to meet these exacting demands through the appointment of knowledgeable engaging instructors, accessible support staff and focused leadership.
Secondly, we addressed our environmental impact in the Eco-Management Principles of ISO 14001
MAT Kosovo EOD & ERW Training Establishment is based in the Balkan Peninsula an area of outstanding natural beauty, significant biodiversity and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The environment and sustainable resources are under threat and it makes sense for us as a training establishment to be conservative in our land stewardship. To this end we carefully manage all our equipment we train with and we don’t stockpile hazardous material. We have installed an eco-friendly pellet burner to provide heating and hot water. We also believe in sourcing locally from farmers in the area.
This naturally culminates in the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series OHSAS 18001
Our employees are the face of MAT Kosovo EOD & ERW Training Establishment and we believe in providing a safe environment for them to practice their skills and share their knowledge with you. Whether you are training in a hostile environment or in a warm classroom your wellbeing and safety are as important to us as those of our employees. By embracing the ethos of safety, you will be encouraged to work diligently within a very challenging environment. Instilling this practice at the start of your training will engender good personal management skills and confidence in your ability.
