The OCNC4L L5 Diploma in Conventional Munitions Disposal (CMD). A five-day course that takes IMAS EOD Level 3+ operators to their diploma and to the top of the Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) or Conventional Munitions Disposal (CMD) qualification ladder.
Want to make the move from accomplished technical EOD operator to Programme Lead? The course consists of an intensive week of Management- and Leadership-focused modules. This will further develop your technical knowledge and operational skills with complementary competencies, so you can sit across the table from regulators, donors and legal teams as a fully informed and confident participant.
NEW for March 2027: the L5 Diploma in CMD.
An industry first from PCM and MAT Kosovo.
You’ve proven yourself in the field. Now prove you can lead the programme.
In March 2027 we will be launching an independently accredited L5 Diploma course - open strictly to IMAS EOD L3+ graduates with a minimum of two years’ operational experience. Successful completion of this course ends with the awarding of an L5 Diploma in CMD.
We have created this course to be the final bridge to provide a high-level vocational qualification for those working in IMAS standard CMD.
The L5 Diploma in CMD is a natural progression from the IMAS L3+ training and operational experience. This will further develop your knowledge and skills in your future Management and Leadership role, enhancing your confidence to consistently make the right organisational call under pressure, with far less certainty and many more competing interests.
This mapped Diploma-level qualification, like your L3 and L3+ certification and many other qualifications we offer here is accredited by Open College Network Credit for Learning (OCNC4L) and aligned to UK nationally recognised regulatory standards.
There is simply no higher externally accredited Diploma-level qualification in HMA, EOD or CMD.
- Team Management: leadership, change and decision-making under pressure
- Resource Management: people, time, money and materials
- Data Management: challenging the evidence put in front of you
- Stakeholder Management: regulators, donors and communities
- Extreme HR & Situations: what goes wrong when organisations are under pressure
- Incident & Accident Investigation: running a fair Board of Inquiry
How it works: open book, written assignments, case-study led and continuously assessed, at MAT Kosovo in Peja. The week closes with an Awards Evening and Gala Dinner.
Who it’s for: Humanitarian EOD technicians holding IMAS EOD Level 3+ certification.
There are several routes available – conventional munitions, conversion course and IEDD qualified but all routes must culminate in the EOD L3+ qualification.
Places are limited. Pre-register your interest: pcm-erw.com/dip-cmd
