February 10, 2025
Celebrating 25 Years of MAT Kosovo
March 10, 2025Three Years of Resilience and Commitment
As the full-scale invasion of Ukraine enters its fourth year today, we reflect on the efforts and sacrifices by countless individuals and organisations in response to this situation which ultimately is a threat to us all, and yet it is one in which Ukrainians have taken much more than their fair share of the pain. This is not the time to ask what Ukraine owes to the West, or to us and our partners or donors, but a time to reflect that the debt we owe to Ukraine and Ukrainians may never be properly repaid.
We have been honoured and humbled by the professionalism and the support of all the organisations whom we have been privileged to train. We have been touched by the tragic deaths of students and staff who succumbed to the consequences of being attacked by the invading forces. No amount of support or sympathy for their loved ones will bring back those who paid the price for defending their homelands.
We hope that the fourth year will be different, and better than all the ones before, and very much hope that we will continue to be invited to do our part in saving lives and improving the situation all around. And that our donors and partners will continue supporting us in that as well. Only through the West closing ranks and supporting its own can this be brought to an acceptable end.
To all our staff and friends in Ukraine, your efforts and sacrifice are not in vain, and they are appreciated by millions, and by all of us.
