Visit of Canadian Ambassador to Croatia and Kosovo to the MAT Kosovo Training Center
On Monday, November 11, 2024, the MAT Kosovo Training Center had the honour of hosting Her Excellency Jessica Blitt, the Canadian Ambassador to Croatia and Kosovo, accompanied by Mr. Zane Waldman and Ms. Cynthia Dodig. Ambassador Blitt’s visit underscored the close cooperation between MAT Kosovo and the Canadian people, particularly through support of the Canadian foundation ‘Mriya Aid.’ This foundation has partnered with PCM, the parent company of MAT Kosovo, in a joint effort to support Ukraine.
This support has been provided through IMAS-compliant EOD training to numerous personnel from Ukrainian government agencies. In 2024, Canada continued its funding, enabling cohorts of Ukrainian trainees to attend programs at MAT Kosovo’s training center. Ambassador Blitt and her colleagues had the opportunity to observe training in progress and to tour the facility, including its infrastructure and resources.
