June 1 2022, the President of Kosovo, her Excellency, Dr. Vjosa Osmani and the Mayor of Peja, Gazmend Muhaxherri visited the MAT Kosovo Training Center and also met the Ukrainian students on the IMAS EOD Level 2 enhanced and Ukraine-specific course.
In her usual style, the president’s very cordial visit made everyone feel the appreciation for what the staff and the students do is very personal and very direct. Our staff had the chance to share with the President and the Mayor the amazing work that our company does, our history, how we operate, our cooperation with KSF and the struggles that our company faces.
Her Excellency also took time to meet our Ukrainian students and chat with them and welcomed them warmly to Kosovo. While reminiscing about her own Ukrainian friends from her time at university, and the stories they share with her nowadays, and also remembering her own and Kosovo’s experiences after the Balkan wars, the President could not have struck a more personal note while expressing her and Kosovo’s full empathy with the plight of our students and Ukraine.
As a company, we are glad and proud that the President took the time to express what we all feel, on behalf of the entire country, and also on her personal behalf. MAT Kosovo feels very honoured by the visit of the President of Kosovo, and wants to thank her Excellency, Vjosa Osmani for taking time out of her busy schedule to visit our school and our students.
