Nationally-recognised accreditation for MK’s IMAS EOD Level 3 training
May 18, 2015As a leading provider of technical HMA training courses, MAT Kosovo (MK) offers world-class facilities at our specialist facility in Kosovo and a safe and friendly environment for you to attain an EOD IMAS Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
In order to further our planning for 2015, MK is therefore seeking Expressions of Interest from students who wish to attend a French language EOD IMAS Level 2 or Level 3 course.
FULL INFORMATION
Both the IMAS EOD Level 2 and Level 3 courses are run over a period of three weeks (including weekends) instead of the normal four weeks. This is to save students time spent away from home or on-going working commitments. The course fee includes all local transport, equipment, training, accommodation and food.
All course instruction will be delivered by a senior, qualified International EOD Instructor (through an interpreter, if required) with key course materials also being made available in the French language.
The training goal is to provide students with the required knowledge, skills & aptitude necessary to perform the duties & tasks required during EOD Operations of a qualified IMAS Level 2 or Level 3 EOD Operator, in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). Levels of training meet IMAS 09.30, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 2 and Level 3 criteria.
Students will therefore have the opportunity to gain an IMAS Level 2 or Level 3 EOD qualification, subject to the level of competency displayed during assessments and testing.
All students will be provided with professionally produced French language reference materials, covering all main aspects of their course, including an EOD training handbook, a set of International Mine Action Standards, Technical notes for Mine Action, Information Management System for Mine Action reports, relevant GICHD publications and examples of actual reports & forms.
To complement these, all students will also have access to a large and varied selection of UXO training aids to help facilitate the learning process.
