World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Monte Carlo

PCM Managing Director Ben Remfrey had the honour to attend the World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Monte Carlo, as the winner in the national competition of the EY Rising Star of the Year award. Here is what Ben had to say about the event.  “I had the good fortune to attend the 2019 World Entrepreneur Awards event in Monaco with all Monte Carlo has to offer in terms of glitz and comfort. More than that was the sheer positive vibe of the event and the celebration of those entrepreneurs who have truly broken the mould and reached staggering success – many of whom do so these days with a serious regard to the environment and also giving a huge amount of their personal wealth to philanthropic causes. I had the honour to be part of the Malta delegation with two of the EY Directors from Malta, Ronald Attard and Kevin Mallia and Malta’s Winner David Darmanin – a very worthy winner – the three of them made the event so much more enjoyable.

It is worth mentioning that if all industry had the imagination and celebrated success, as they did at this event, then we’d all do much better, food for thought! I learnt a great deal in the last week, one more important factor above all others is to look after your people, your family, your colleagues and those you have the fortune to call your employees – as without them you are nothing more than a one-man/ woman band.
