Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy

Zero tolerance for bribery and corruption

Praedium Consulting Malta Limited (PCM) and its subsidiary Mine Action and Training Mondial Kosovo Sh.p.K. (together, the PCM Group) do business lawfully, ethically and with integrity, wherever we operate. All forms of bribery and corruption are prohibited, whether we would be giving or receiving, and whether the other party is in the public or the private sector.

Our rules

Our directors, staff and sub-contractors must never:

  • offer, promise, give, request or accept a bribe, in money or in any other form;
  • give anything of value, however small, to a public official to influence them in their official role;
  • make "facilitation" payments to speed up routine official action. The only exception is where a person's life, safety or liberty is at risk, and any such demand must be reported;
  • give or accept gifts or hospitality that are lavish, unreasonable or could appear to influence a business decision. We accept no gifts or hospitality from public officials, and anything above modest limits requires board approval and is recorded; or
  • make political contributions, or charitable donations that could benefit a client or prospective client.

People who act on our behalf

We are responsible for the conduct of those who act for us. Agents, introducers, suppliers and joint-venture partners must meet standards equivalent to ours, and we include these requirements in our contracts. We carry out reputational checks before appointing agents or introducers, and they may not take undisclosed commissions.

How we prevent it

  • We do not pay staff commissions or bonuses linked to winning institutional, donor-funded or government business.
  • Every director, employee and sub-contractor confirms that they have read and understood our policy, and all staff receive annual training.
  • Suspected breaches are investigated by the board; any director involved steps aside. Material breaches lead to dismissal or termination of contract.

Report a concern

Email compliance@pcm-erw.com, or contact any director of PCM or MAT Kosovo.

Every report is handled confidentially, and nobody will suffer retaliation for raising a concern in good faith.

How we manage this

Our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy (version 1.1) has been adopted by the boards of PCM and MAT Kosovo and is reviewed at least once a year. It forms part of our compliance framework together with our Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and our anti-trafficking commitments.
